Nosara is a sleepy little beach town, but also has all the ammenities and conveniences you may need during your stay. There are many stores and markets that will carry many of the basic necessities you may have forgotten to pack. Here is a list of things we suggest to bring on your surfing vacation:

  • Boardshorts/Rashguards: guys, make sure the shorts are loose fitting and go past your knees..and gals, womens boardshorts and a rashguard are much better than a bikini (believe me, I’ve seen it ALL).
  • Sunscreen: we normally surf when the sun is not so high in the sky, but it’s still good to use some with at least a 30SPF.
  • Long sleeve: pants/shirt: dry season nights can get a little chilly, and green season nights can be a bit buggy.
  • Bug Spray: see above
  • Flashlight: very important!! There are no street lights in Nosara and it doesn’t happen often, but occasionally the power goes out for short periods of time.
  • Boots/Sneakers: For those activities between surfing lessons (Horseback riding, Canopy tours, etc.).
  • Rain Jacket/Umbrella: during the green season April-Nov.
